So I’ve decided….
To start posting on here a little bit more. I will more than likely use it as my personal blog and open a new blog for my sewing/business related stuff. You will probably notice that I will be talking about my kids the most- as they are the most important to me and the center of my universe.
Both of my minions.. I mean.. munchkins.. have been pretty sick lately, but that is finally starting to subside. There has been a mean virus going around, but thankfully neither of mine are contagious. Right now we are watching Lilo & Stitch on the JUMBOTRON (That’s pretty much what it is.. my TV is too big!) while eating snacks. Ramses has his Batman snackies (we are thinking he might be hypoglycemic… but I’m testing that theory out) while Jasmin has her pears. It’s been a bit stressful lately with everything that has been going on, but I will manage- I always do.
Just got sidetracked watching Jasmin… she is FIERCE when it comes to food. She couldn’t get the pears out with her spoon anymore, so she flipped the bowl over onto her high chair table… she has to be sure to eat every last piece! I swear, if she were one of the seven deadly sins, she would be gluttony! I love it! Its amazing how she eats so much, and yet shes so very tiny. Shes starting to get tall, but not nearly the same as Ramses. He will be 4 next month, but he looks like hes 6 and acts like hes going on 13. Its scary!
Tonight we have the pleasure of entertaining a very fine guest, one whom we don’t get to see nearly enough. This would be Ramses betrothed, Zoey! According to Ramses, she is his “best friend he has ever saw in the whole world!” They’re adorable. She pwns him. There’s really no use in denying it
Sphygmometers are NOT for kids. Just saying.
These posts are more than likely going to be completely random, since I can never just sit still at my computer. I type two lines, then have to chase after a child. It’s great exercise!
Alright, I have a little more to do before Zoey gets here. I was hoping to look at refrigerators before all of that, but it looks as though that won’t be happening tonight… again. If I don’t get a new one this weekend, I’m going to go insane!
And what is it about today that is making my kids not want to listen? Is it the rain? I just don’t get it! Must be something in the air.. the nasty, humid Florida air. Ah how I wish I could move up to MA or CO…. in due time, maybe.
Alright, back to the daily grind!

Nice!
Being a single parent can make it seem that we are insane to people who don’t share that joy/duty!
I think they (the unsingle parents) are amusing and should be sedated before they open their mouths to advise us…
Alternately Maine and Colorado are retardedly cold for sooooo long that you’ll miss sweating under the palm trees!
Blog on, Tampa Bay’s hottest geek MILF! Blog on…

My best friend here doesn’t have any children, and we talk about that a lot. About how our priorities differ so greatly. It’s funny, too, how difficult it is to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t have kids. When I am sick, I have no choice but to do what I have to do and take care of my kids. To him, its just a nuisance that makes him feel worse (to the point where I have to leave his house if I have the kids with me and he has a headache or something). As it is right now, I don’t think I will ever be able to live with my boyfriend. He loves my kids, but hes just not ready to LIVE with them yet.
As for ‘unsingle’ parents- I tend to get a LOT of “advice” from them on how to run my home, finances, etc. What most of them don’t understand is that this is a SINGLE income household. There isn’t another person to watch the kids or take off of work, or even to rotate schedules. Their father refuses to take more than a day off in any 3 month period. He has never taken them to doctor appointments (except twice to an after hours clinic where I went, too, and to the ER, in which I brought the baby and he and his fiance met us there), he doesn’t provide supplies to daycare or pay for daycare. Things would be a lot easier for me if I was living with someone who was willing to share the responsibilities.
I used to live in Colorado Springs (if only for a short while. More like a nice vacation… right before I found out I was pregnant with Ramses), and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. I was there in December, too. Massachusetts is where I would go, though, not Maine. You must remember- I was born in the frozen wasteland called Wisconsin, so the winters in CO and MA are cake!
Aaaand- you are too funny

Does USAA have offices there(s)?
Or do you think single-parenting will end that job for you?

Single parenting may very well end that job for me.. we shall see when I go to work tomorrow. Jasmins issues seem to have eased up- although she has 3 upcoming appointments- one of them is the surgery. IfI get to stay there, they actually have a branch in Colorado Springs. BEAUTIFUL up there.
